If you are someone who has got bored with their skateboard and is looking for something that is going to give you a few more thrills.  Then why not consider purchasing a Ripstik Caster Board

This board will certainly help to provide you with a more extreme sport than you ever thought imaginable when you’ve been riding your skateboard.  It is not only unique in design but also comes with its own set of unique movements as well.

The Ripstik is the latest item to hit the world of skateboarding and allows you to combine the way you ride a skateboard with the way you would ride a snowboard.  Although you may consider using a caster board wrong because it comes with just 2 wheels rather than 4 it can make the whole ride actually seem much smoother.

In the beginning if you are someone who has not ridden a skateboard much before you may find getting use to learning the technique in order to manoeuvre the board a little bit difficult, but for the more experienced skateboarders learning this should come quite naturally and easily to them.

How to Ride A Caster Board

We are all starting to hear about wave and caster boarding which is a new form of skateboarding.  But compared to skateboarding with this you need to learn a whole new set of techniques if you want to ride yours correctly.

Step 1
You will need to learn how to move your feet on the board correctly in order to propel you and the board along.  It is important that you learn to move each of your hips by themselves in a twisting motion.

It is best that before you actually start riding your board that you practice this motion a few times whilst stood on level ground.

Step 2

Get on your protective gear and then place your board on a pavement which has a very slight downward slope to it.  If your left leg is more dominant than your right one then this is the one that you should lead off with and if it is your right then lead off with this.

It is important that when learning to use any kind of caster board such as the Ripstik that you practice as much on level ground as possible just so that you can learn how to effectively twist your body to get the motion and momentum going properly.

The caster board or castor board as it may sometimes be called is a made up to 2 small narrow platforms to which as set of caster trucks have been attached at the front of it.

As you will soon discover if you decide to purchase a caster board such as the Ripstik you will find that no longer do you need to step on to it with one foot and push off with the other to gain momentum.

You will find that the Ripstik version is available for around $99 to $129 and comes in a variety of different colors.  A person when riding these boards is able to either make their way downhill just as a snowboarder would or they can easily make it uphill as well in much the same way as skateboarders do.

If you really want to understand the way in which a caster board such as the Ripstik works before you make your purchase there are plenty of sites online which will show you just how it works and the way  in which the rider will need to move their body correctly.
